  • Project Child Clinic | MCSSSDNJ

Project Chi ld Clinic The Project Child Clinic provides services to non-classified preschool children in order to enhance the development of speech and language, perceptual-motor skills, balance and coordination, attention for focusing, and overall behavior. Most children are seen in small groups. In all programs, the curriculum is individualized and determined by the needs of your individual child. A home program is provided to augment therapy for each child. Parents are encouraged to become actively involved in their child's program through the use of the home activities suggested by our staff. Clinic programs generally follow the Mercer County Special Services School District school calendar. Project Child Clinic is a grant program funded by the Mercer County Aging and Disability Resource Connection (ADRC). The ADRC has been most generous in our funding, however, rising programmatic costs have resulted in a monthly parent fee. A reduced rate is available for families that qualify under New Jersey Department of Education standards. Project Child Clinic Program Application The fees for Project Child Clinic Programs are as follows: Summer Session July - August Speech Clinic $125/5 week session (45-minute weekly session) Perceptual/Motor Clinic $125/5 week session (45-minute weekly session) Readiness Clinic $125/5 week session (60-minute weekly session) School Year Session September - June Speech Clinic $100/month (45-minute weekly session) Perceptual/Motor Clinic $100/month (45-minute weekly session) Readiness Clinic $100/month (60-minute weekly session) We at Project Child are concerned with the safety and well-being of all of our children. We fully understand that childcare for siblings is often difficult to arrange, making it necessary to bring additional children with you for your child's scheduled session. We suggest bringing “quiet time” activities to occupy your children, such as workbooks, puzzles, coloring books, storybooks, etc. For safety purposes, parents (or the guardian accompanying your child to the Project Child Clinic Program) are required to remain on-site for the duration of the session. We trust that you share our concern and understand the importance of your cooperation. We hope that our Project Child Clinic services are a positive and pleasant experience for your child. Snacks are often used as reinforcers during sessions. Our snacks are often either pretzels or crackers. We appreciate parent input if there is a “special treat” that your child particularly enjoys. If you prefer, it would be fine to bring your own snacks. Please be sure to alert our staff to any allergies or dietary restrictions. Thank you for your interest in our Project Child Clinic Programs. We look forward to working with your family.
